Day Old Silkie Chicks

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell the gender on Day old Silkies?
These will be the first Silkies I will have, and would like to know where I stand on the gender.
It's OK if not, but I thought I would ask.

Please DO NOT vent sex Silkies if you do not know what your doing. Vent sexing can be dangerous for any chick if done correctly especially on bantams. Their parts are also usually smaller than standards which can make it even harder to see. If I were you I'd wait until it was an adult

Rest easy... I was not planning ton vent-sexing them. I do not want to be responsible for killing a chick. LOL
I can be a bit clumsy sometimes, so there is NO way that I would undertake that task.

You can try an old wives-tale that I have done before on many chicks and so far have turned out correct. Take the chick and place it in the palm of your hand, gentle lay the chick on its back and cup your other hand.gentle on top until the chick settles down, then remove your top hand, if the chicks legs stay bent in towards them its a female;if the chick stretches out its legs its a boy.
