Day old- week old chicks food do's and dont's

So I just had a few chicks hatch today. I have some starter food and a shallow dish of water out for them and they are still under the care of their mom, but i was wondering if there is anything I really need to watch out for in the first week or so? Is it safe to feed them oatmeal yet? I know the basics like no potatoes, rotten foods ect.. but I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on something I should be doing. Oh a any baby friendly treat advice would be most welcome.

They need chick starter and water for the first couple of weeks. They don't eat much in the first two weeeks.

They really don't need anything else. Momma will teach them.
