I got my 8 wheaten and blue wheaten ameraucana eggs yesterday, and today I went out and got 15 barnyard special eggs. I am unsure if I should really be trying to hatch all of those mutts-I probably won't keep any of them unless my ameraucanas that came through the mail don't hatch. When I got home, the bator was way too warm, so I turned it down a bit and opened the vent. Now it seems stable-just put the egss in (all of them). I'm
for ameraucana hens. The barnyard specials are frizzle and frizzle/easter egger cross and silkie, cochin and frizzle hens. Some are bantam, some are standard. I'm second guessing my decision to put all of them in the bator now!
