Currently staring at the eggs on day 7 of incubation. Im so excited for all the hatches to come this year.
Oh-me-oh-my do I love Orpingtons <3 I can't wait to see all of the new generations running around this spring, I'm always striving to improve my flock. Pictures of some of my girls and future mommy-to-be's (and some roosters of coarse cause they need a little loving too lol)!!

Lovely looking flock you have. ❤️
How many eggs in incubator this time around??
And second question; will you possibly have a seasoned broody to raise those chicks,, when they hatch?

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome
I put 38 eggs in last Friday, and 56 eggs in last night.
I’m sure I’ll have some broody hens in a month or two cause last year it seemed all but two were broody all summer long! I didn’t have the greatest luck with hens raising the chicks that they hatch some problems I had were 2 hens were the mothers of the same hatch so the chicks would go from one to the other but the one hen would really beat up the second hen. I found all my chicks raised by the hens were very skittish and flighty, they were taught to roost in trees so high I couldn’t catch them.
It’s sure is sweet seeing them raise chicks but I think my incubated babies immerse by brooder plate and when I’m done hatching if a hen goes broody I’ll give her a clutch of her own, cause who doesn’t love a little chaos lol
