Daylight is shortning will she lay this year?

I have a two 23 week old buff orpingtons they have not started laying yet. The days are becoming shorter will she lay at all this year? Do i need to start putting a light out there? thanks

I would definitely put a light out in the coop if you want eggs through the winter.
