I agree - probably just a young dumb one that didn't know it should be afraid. Have you ever encountered a fawn? They are so curious, and absolutely clueless sometimes, that they should be afraid of you.

That's normal behavior. Nocturnal animals tend to be quite active during the "shoulder" hours, just before dusk and just after dawn.
