Just looked it up, is it scary or is it exactly the Sots (Song of the sea)I agree it's sad but really amazing. Have you seen The Secret of Kells? It's by the same studio and also excellent, but also pretty sad. That's how I found out about Song of The Sea.
I first watched when I was really little. It’s about an Abbey in Ireland back when Vikings were invading. It’s beautifully well done, but it’s kind of on the same level of scariness, spookiness of Song of the Sea. Maybe a little more. If you watch the trailer, it’ll give you a good idea of what I mean. (There’s a Barbarian Invasion, some death, etc. There’s also a serpent with a crystal eye that is needed to complete The Book of Kells. (Which is a real book, by the way. I have a copy of it). The Book of Kells plays a major role in the movie. There’s a site called Common Sense Media, and it can give you the rundown on the movie.
