DE From A Hot Tub Store?

Is it ok to use diatomaceous earth from a hot tub store (i.e., is it food grade)?

No. I can't imagine them selling anything but the pool DE at a hot tub place. Food grade DE will say food grade right on the bag.

DE from pool or hot tub places has been treated with high heat and chemicals. It can be toxic to you and your animals.

Like all the other PPs...no on DE from a pool place. The bag should say "food grade". One brand to look for is Perma-Guard.
