what is DE and what does it do ?

DE stands for Diatomacious Earth...it's sprinkled in areas where the chickens take their dust baths to help control pest and ecto-parasite infestations.

I use it, but there are those that question its use for this purpose.

I apply it around the base of my coop. My coop stands on 4x4 post and I applied it very liberally around the post, and in all the cracks inside.

I have yet to have any problems
