Yesterday night I checked on my broody hen that had her first pipped egg. It was almost out of it's shell and it was alive and looking good. This morning when I checked on her the chick was dead and it had yolk and fluff stuck to it! It was kinda buried in the fluff and it's shell was a bit squished. Did momma help it hatch to early? Was it just not mean to thrive? Does anyone know what happened??
