Dead Buff Orp

Got home form work last night and went out to the coop to check for eggs. What I found was one of my 5 mo old Buff Orp dead laying on the floor of the coop. I picked her up and checked her thoroughly several times and could not find one mark on her...her body was stiff but her neck was floppy... felt all over her body, opened her beak, nothing. I know at night the chickens sometimes get rowdy trying to get into place on the roost which is approx 4-5 ft off the floor of the coop....is it possible she was pushed off the roost and struck the nest boxes which broke her neck? I have never had a chicken die on me so this was quite shocking.
