Dead chick?

I candled at 11 days and saw a large black mass in the egg and some veins. When I turned it, while candling, the mass didn't move. Today on day 14 I saw a dark mass but it was floating. When I turned the egg it would float to the top every time and I didn't see any veins. Is my chick dead?

If you see any mass, just leave it for all 21 days and then some. After bunches of hatches, you'll learn what is alive and dead when you candle.
