Hello everyone. This is my first post and I'm sad to say it's about a dead chicken. My mother keeps chickens and has had alot of success with them. Unfortunately, the other day one of our chickens died suddenly. My mother said that her neck feathers were ruffled and that she found her hunched down in the dirt. Her egg chute was alot out. Does anyone have any ideas on what happened to her? Also, shouldn't my mother have taken that chicken to the vet for autopsy or am I being ridiculous?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I'm actually quite worried for the other birds (and our safety as well).
