dead chicken protien issue?

my hen dropped dead a few days ago, she didn't have a whole lot of feathers left because other hens kept pecking at it's back, could it be a protien issue?

Sounds like she was the low girl in the pecking order...or they could have been starving her from getting feed and water ...anytime this happens the hen or pullet needs to be place somewhere alone where she has food and water til her feathers grow back in...anytime there is a protein issue feeding scrambled eggs, cat food, canned tuna even can help feather wise...my opinions....molting or even roosters over mating can cause a hen to stress and die....
