Dead Chicken *Warning Graphic Photo*

Well I went to my mothers farm today to find one of the chickens I was going to get in a few weeks dead! It was lying in the street, she free ranges them and one must have hoped the fence, I don't know what killed it, probably a car its a busy road but the body is mangled so its anybodies guess. I just wanted to vent I am so angry

Awwww....probably got hit...is there anyway she could put up some fence to keep them from getting onto the street?

I had a fox eat the head off of my hens like that first. He didn't get the opportunity to finish her. He ate the head first, until she looked identical to that, and then went to carry her away.

I saw your picture and first thing that came to mind was 'fox'. Make sure she keeps a wary eye out for missing birds. I think she was a victim of a fox and he just didn't get to finish his meal(spooked by the cars maybe?).
