I guess Im lucky that I have dogs that protect my girls, I have a German Shorthaired Pointer and a German Rott niether one even attempts to go after my girls they crawl all over them and peck at there ears. My Gsp wich is my bird hunting dog usually just walks away into the house and my rott he will just lay there and huff lol.

I have gone the German Pointer route as well. It is fun to watch actions against predators.

Ya Gsp's are awsome so is my Rott, when coyotees come into the yard my gsp wil stand on the porch and bellow until me and the rott comes out and I just tell them to "hunt them up" and they both run like hell at them with me right behind them with my shotgun lol.
