dead chicken

i went to my chicken pen and found my hen dead she had guts coming out her rear about 2 feet i guess the other chicks pulled it i say signs of blood on the egg she layed today she layed a double yolk 2 days ago what caused this to make her guts fall out

BTW...now that I have had time to clean myself up...it sounds like your hen prolapsed. She may have strained to hard getting that big egg out or just genetically had weak pelvic muscles.
