Today is day 9, and I just candled again. I found four dead eggs. The yolks were obviously broken, and there were tiny (half a pencil eraser) dead embryos when I opened them. What's causing this? I'm turning by hand three times a day. Am I being too rough? I wash my hands before I touch the eggs, but is bacteria the problem? Humidity too low? Could this have to do with the temp fluctuations when I first set the eggs (went up to 103)?

No. This is from the 24 eggs I bought from our local egg farmer. I set them the day they were laid.
