How do I tell if a developing chick around the lockdown stage is dead? I candled some of the eggs today (2-2-16), which is day 22, and I only see one chick moving around in its shell. The other ones have a dark blob inside their eggs, which must be the chicks, and I don't see red blood vessel looking things inside the eggs that aren't moving.
Hopefully you caught on and it would be appreciated if anyone could answer. I could use some more knowledge for the next hatch I do. Coturnix quail are MUCH easier.
