When I started duckin 15 years ago I had grass every where. Each year it seams I have less and less. The ducks forage and pound the puddles without mercy. Tried to replace sections with sod but the ducks keep diggin under the edges until there was nothing left.
This year I'm gonna section off a paddock and lime it to see what happens. Any thoughts on this?

Sounds reasonable. Just like with horses, ducks and geese need a sacrifice area that you can keep them on that will be reduced to a dust bowl while the green grassy areas rest and regrow. Divide your pasture into smaller areas with temporary fencing that is easily moved. Restrict the amount of grazing time and let each rested portion sit a minimum of 21 days.
