Dead healthy chickens after rain or snow?

We started with 40 chicks and ended up about half and half roosters and hens. We assume a few roosters killed each other but now that we’re in the just hens territory this is beginning to be very troubling. We only lost birds after rain or snow! It rained again yesterday and we lost another chicken. That’s two this week! Before that last time we lost birds was after snow...anyone else having this issue? Way to make me want to avoid rain and snow...

How old are your birds? What do they eat? Hows the coop like? You could have an issue in your coop that only surfaces when moisture is present.

They’re about 2, they eat green mountain organic non gmo feed and scratch and we feed them grass and plants and worms when we find them in the yard. Coop is really big and the floor has shavings and straw
