Dead hen in the run

Today was a sad day as I went out to give my chickens some treats and find on of them laying dead in front of the door she had a couple of feathers missing on her neck and there were feathers on the chicken wire if anyone knows what killed her please share it and any tips to prevent the others from be killed as well

You should use hardware cloth instead of chicken wire to prevent animals sticking there arm through it.

Just a suggestion.
 
Was she up against the wire? This makes me think that something grabbed her through the wire, and killed her trying to pull her through. Coon maybe?
She was close to the wire and I also thought it was a raccoon or maybe an owl that tried to get her and she somehow got away and died in front of the door

Thats very possible. Since the damage is to her neck it makes me think it was something that grabbed her. I agree, hardware cloth or electric wire would probably be more suitable. Chicken wire isn't predator proof. The only thing it keeps in or out is chickens.
