Hi folks.

About an hour ago, I found one of the family hens dead. She was 6, so she was older, but I have 2 concerns if anyone has insight. First, I picked her body up by her legs, and soon a liquidy, peanut butter like substance (pic attached) was pouring from her mouth. Could that just be undigested food coming out since I had her body upside down? Secondly, I found about 2 dozen worms under a box in our driveway. I gathered those and tossed them to the flock (7 hens). That was about 6 hours before I believe she died. The others seem ok for now. Could there be any connection?

Thank You

sorry for your loss. it was probably undigested food as you said. worms have nothing with her death. chickens eat worms all the time.
