Hi all, today I came home to one of my beloved birds dead. I am trying to find some answers. I have 1 female pheasant living with two hens. There is a large-ish hole dug under the coop about 1 foot wide and 6" deep. There are deep bite wounds through the pheasants neck and their mouth is open with a rock in it. Both of my chickens seem untouched. I live in the middle of a city but have seen foxes, coyotes, racoons, ect. I live in Wisconsin so there are probably weasels and fishers around. There were no feathers or signs of a fight from my pheasant and we found her in the run. Any ideas what it could be? Why it wouldn't try to kill my other girls? Why it wouldn't take the body? Thank you so much. RIP Peck
