Dead Rooster Guinea

I found my rooster guinea with his head threw the fence dead. His head was discolored and swollen he was not hung they stick their heads threw the fence to catch a piece of grass all the time could he have been snake bit??also how long will i be able to gather fertile eggs without a rooster. I've got one incubator full set and just need a dozen more eggs to be able to set another one. I have seven hens and gather 5 or 6 eggs a day out of this pen.

I'm really sorry that happened.

I have no idea what happened to him, but if they're like chickens, the hens will still retain sperm for a week, and the eggs will be fertile. So, gather quick.

Depending on when the last breeding took place you might have fertile eggs for up to 2 more weeks.

Sorry for your loss, no telling what happened. Very odd death tho.
