Dead Rooster !

Pics
Mine always crow a lot more in the spring. And are a lot more aggressive with each other. It gets very annoying when i'm out there trying to talk to someone and have to pause every 10 seconds for a rooster crow. Some of my really old roosters hardly crow any other time of the year lol.

Is it bad that I want to go out to the coop, and strangle my rooster ? Right now this would give me great pleasure.

He has been crowing every 12 to 15 seconds, since 3:00 am this morning. Yes I counted the seconds between crows !!!

It's now 6:15 am.

This is a daily ritual, and I'm getting really tired of it. At this point I have one nerve left, and he's pecking the crud out of it !!!

Two words come to mind ….. Bullet, and Brain …..

Anyone else have this dilemma ?

EDIT : I'm (probably) not gonna strangle, or shoot him, (today) but, all bets are off if this continues.

I’m sorry...I know it’s nothing to laugh about but my husband and I just couldn’t help it. 😂😂
I hope things work out for you..🐣🐔🐥

Iv'e said it a billion times, you have to blackout the coop to stop light triggered crowing.
Even pitch black outside isn't pitch black to him, he sees all the spectrums so artificial dark is his true dark.
He'll still belt out a random crow now and again, they can't help it.
I suppose gravity drags them out the same way it makes hens lay on the roost. :)

Been there, done this. We live in a very tiny village of 150 people. The only street light on this end of town is, naturally, right by my coop.

A raptor attack solved the problem for me. My two roos now don't seem to care, so no more 3am alarm clocks you can't turn off!

I suggest either turning off your light, move it, or change the bulb to a red one. Good luck!
Yea a fox solves my rooster problems I was about to cleave him and a fox did it for me

I ordered mine from Cackle Hatchery. Only problem there is you have to order nine, to fill the box so they keep each other warm. I ordered mine in mid April, I got three extras! But thankfully they were all girl. I have 13 that lay. I get 10-13 eggs a day in the summer. I sell them on Facebook Market Place. $4.00 a dozen! You'll love it once you get the hang of everything!
Thanks

I have 2 roosters, a golden sea bright bantam rooster as well as a white leghorn rooster.
My boys crow the entire night! when they hear any noise, or they see any light, they WILL crow! they are trying to protect their Ladies! Lights from passing cars 1/2 mile up the hill shine right into the windows. My neighbor's cows come up to 20 feet away from their coop, there are other neighbor dogs out here and other assorted wildlife. My boys crow at noises too!
What drives me crazy is my neighbor dogs trying to attack my other neighbor's cows and they stand right by my bedroom window and Bark! Then i take out my gun and shoot into the night, to shut them up!
