I thought I was getting deal at walmart until I saw it was a 40# bag for 12$ So I said nah no thanks and left them there-I get 50# at my local store for 13$

Lay Mash at Walmart is unreal! I live in a rural part of Western NY state and our Walmart carries only dog, cat and bird food. However at $l0 for 50lbs our two feed mills lare still cheaper. Last I bought was $l6.30 for l00lbs - have to pick up some tomorrow and it will probably be up (everything always is). Probably no cheaper alternative that is healthy and supplies all the minerals etc. they need.

to me its just another thing walmart is trying to do to crush the competition
they wont be happy until walmart is the only store in town

I'd rather buy at the feed store. I'm first in line, the feed is loaded into my car, and I never have to try to lift the dang thing into a grocery cart. I about kill myself at Sam's Club with a bag of dog food.
