What brand do they sell? The Walmart where I live just started selling livestock feed. I think it is Manna Pro, and it is only #40 bags. The price is $1+ more than what I buy for feed at the feed store. Then there is taxes added on what Walmart sells.

Ours use to sell horse feed, halters, and other supplies, but now they dont....it was neat while it lasted. I never go to Wal-marts, but it gave me something to look at if I were there....

Our Wal-Mart sels animal feed etc. We recently decided that since we were at WM we would just buy a bag of scratch there rather than have to make another stop at the feed store. Well when we got home and opened the feed I was not very happy with it. It had LOTS OF DUST and a lot of small like wild bird seed. It just looked dirty to us. Needles to say we won't be buying anymore feed at WM. I don't want to mention the name of the feed but the initials are MANNA PRO !!!

The walmart closest to me, ( 30 miles ), sells chicken, horse, and some pig food. The one 10 miles up the road from that one, doesn't sell any. We are more in the country so that is why they sell it. Price $11.95 for a 40lb bag crumbles, and $9.95 for scratch 40lb bag. However the feed store sells 40lb bag of crumbles for $9.95 for 40lb bag.

I actuallywork at wal-mart and my wally world just started to sell the layer feed as well horse food.

my layer feed is 9-10 depoending on the grain market and the price of gas. our walmart has horse food too but no layer pellets or chicken stuff. i stay away from there if at all possible maybe go 4-5 times a year.i give my business to the small business folks not the scary cookie cutter corporate giant.

I just paid $14.31 (13.50+tax) for 50lbs. Purina layer feed...first bag, sounds as if I need to shop around...or make chicken soup!
