Dealing with summer!

Hello! it's very hot and steamy where I live,on account of our almost constant rainstorms.My chickens are usually brightly colored and happy in the colder months,but every year when it turns hot they dull out,their feathers don't look that great.I wonder if they are missing something from their diet that I could add in the hot months?To help them deal with the heat better?

I do lots of things in the summer. I freeze milk jugs full of water (my hens like to sit on them), I cut up water melon and freeze it, and I collect June bugs at night and freeze them (cools them down and is a good source of protein)!!!

sekeyslaks, Where are you? I'm in the deep south in La. Not a LOT of rain. But soooo much heat. Nutri Drench for sheep, goats liquid. I put a squirt in each 5 gallon bottle of water. It helps a lot with the heat. Research on it. At the top of the page. I ferment their feed. It helps to assimilate their feed more fully. Extra vitamins.
