Someone is awake from hibernation. He/she didn’t cause any issues last year, and I’m hoping for another peaceful spring. However, Daphne, my Rouen duck, responds to every unexpected noise with the LOUD QUACKS. Prior to coming into my life, her entire flock was wiped out by a Fisher. I’m convinced that she sounded the alarm and gave off everyone’s location. Anyways, I’ve instructed her to not answer if someone comes knocking at the barn door tonight!
