Death from stress from a storm or older chicks?

WOW!! That's what I was needing to know. I have 12 young chickens and 2 peakin ducks. Which all seemed okay this morning at feeding time. The past 2 days has been storm after storm. Today I found one of my red chickens dead. She was healthy. All my chickens and ducks get along well with each other so could the stress of the storms be the reason she died? I'm up for any advice or thoughts. Thanks.
