We found 2 Ayam eggs with indisputable death rings, but my husband and I are unsure on this egg. We're finding it harder to tell with the Easter Eggers. Is this a death ring?

Yeah, that's what we've been doing with any questionable eggs. This is our first time hatching chickens, so we are extra cautious not wanting to mistake a good egg as bad. Don't want any exploding ones either 😬

Yeah, blood ring. You can leave it in a couple more days just to be sure, but it shows all of the signs to me. Is there a way bacteria is entering the eggs? Are you washing your hands before turning and candling? You said you had multiple blood rings so I just wondered.

Yes, hands are washed. Could there be issues with using tap water for the water bottles we use to add water to the incubator? Other than that, I'm not sure if and where bacteria might come from?
