Debeaked new hen

I went and got a 6 month old hen today to replace the one that a bobcat ate yesterday, I got her home and noticed they debeaked her. I'm NOT happy about this.... Will her beak grow back? Does it hurt her? Should I feed her layer mash instead of pellets? Help!!!

If they de-beaked her when she was a chick it shouldn't hurt her at all. All the nerves died long ago. Yes her food should be crumble and it needs to be in a deep bowl so she can "scoop" it out with her beak.
