I cant seem to find the wound anymore. Ive tried ruffling gently through his feathers but cant find it. there hasn't been any more blood slice I rinsed him but I'm sure I saw a small puncture hole on the side of his chest when I first found him. I will try and have a another look tomorrow while giving him a cuddle if he pulls though tonight. he is lying down in the bedding so if there is a wound there it will be either under him or under his wing so this will hopefully keep anything out as well. just feel really bad that they had to watch their father figure be killed so brutally infront of them.

Well that may be a good sign of it not being to terribly bad! If he makes it thru the night, & tomorrow you should be in the clear. Or at least that's what the vet told me.

I know & I am so sorry! I know people think we're crazy but they become companions just like a dog or cat would. Xo.

fingers toes and eyes all crossed that he makes it through. he had a small sip of water before I left tonight but he cant get up to drink himself so I will go down first thing and hold him at the water bowl
