Hi all,
I have 9 Easter eggers that are about four months old. One became ill very quickly over the past couple of days, stopped eating and drinking, and passed this evening. I felt as though I should see if I could identify cause of death to see if I could prevent the rest of the flock from becoming sick and did a necropsy.
The internal organs of the hen looked very healthy, but the abdominal cavity was full of dark green liquid and the bird was underweight. Can anyone think of something which would have caused this?
