I'm in lock down as well and have one zipping as I type. I actually wasn't really expecting any thing to hatch from this batch of eggs. We stuck the incubator in my DS's room w/the door closed, no heat in our home other than some small electric heaters so the temps are rather chilly and it's been very cold outside. I had to cover the incubator with a blanket just to get the temp up. We only checked the eggs once and threw out some. They were suppose to come off the turner on Sunday but noone looked at the calendar till last night. My youngest DS and I ran in there to remove the turner and lo and behold there's cheeping coming from them there eggs, lol. Went in this morning and there's one zipping. It's about half way done. Sure hope I have more then one hatch.

Mine went on lockdown this morning. Temp seems to be holding steady at 101.5 in my still air incubator. I really hope this one hatches!!!

For those of you who experience temperature fluctuations during lock down- I read on another thread that the hatching chicks themselves give off quite a bit of heat....just another bit of info to add to the rest. I would think if your temps and humidity have been stable all along, then I wouldn't mess with them right at the end (other than getting your humidity up at LD). Just my 2 cents worth...

I put mine in LD tonight. Out of 14 eggs, 11 made it to lock down with one being questionable. They should all hatch Friday, but at least one is already making noise and has made a hole. Looks like I'll have a little RIR in the morning.

Hello, May I join you all. I am due to hatch on the 18th Mille Fleur & self blue D'Uccle. I started with 8, and I am down to 3 in the bator. Not sure which I am going to get MF or Self blue since my odds are less then what I started out with so I am very anxious for this hatch. I've included a picture of my bator with eggs, I've removed the turner and laid down a bit of paper towel. This is my first hatch in this bator. Good luck to Everyone, cant wait to see pictures.
