I'm going to do the Delaware roo over New Hampshire hens called Indian Rivers they look like a Delaware and excellent layers and fryers.....the when my New Hampshire Roo is old enough he will have a flock of Delawares for sex-linked birds good for the same qualities just that the hens will be red and the boys white

Yeah well sort of. I let him process 3 roos. So Now I have free space. lol. He keeps looking at my pair of black jersey giants and saying can't we send them to freezer camp. I told him it is strictly forbidden. I can't wait for her to start laying, should be soon and since they are outcast from the rest I might get lucky and get pure ones. Kind of funny that they get chased since they are already bigger than the others. My sebright roo escaped yesterday and was chasing the roo. Now that was hilarious. I wish some of my pure pairs would start laying. Darn moochers. Cochin is 9 months, sebright is 5 months, jersey giant will be 20wks on Thanksgiving and the darn polish laid me 2 unfertile eggs and then stopped again she is 10 months.
