Oh gosh you hatch more eggs than I could imagine! You’re amazing! I can’t wait to see what you hatch for DD!!!! That was my favorite part of BYC is watching all your hatched and processing pics

I remember when you hatched Sookie! She had the most unusual coloring as a chick. She feathered out gorgeous!
Jasmine is stunning, too. Love the gold coloring in her as well!
Do you remember Frankie, my grocery store egg chick? Hatched in the June Hatch-a-long. She is laying already, started at 18 weeks. Was so convinced she was a boy. Has been cranking out an egg every day since. She is a plain white chicken, but awesome none the less. Smarter then any of my fancy purebreds, too!

I have had both experiences! Silkies I hatched this past Spring popped out one after another like popcorn, some at the same time! Marans were painfully slow, hours and hours between eggs.

LoL I wish for popcorn silkies! If the slow development of the Brahmas is any indication of how quickly this hatch is going to go, I’m thinking molasses.

Day 21/22 and two Marans have pipped, odd spots so fingers crossed those hatch ok
New eggs (mine and shipped) are going into an incubator now

well goldie has a friend now, alittle wet behind the ears but a friend nonetheless heheh .. she was crying and alone for a few hours there .. the others are taking their time .. i never did candle this batch and was smelling something so decided to candle the non-pips - two were bad .. so the smells gone lol .. we got 8 'possibles' left including the two 'backwards' eggs .. im about as anxious as a chicken dad can be at this point

Good thing you got the bad eggs out before they exploded! It does happen and it is not a pretty sight

psst they should be 1/2 broad breasted black turkeys!!!
more quail due this next weekend... then one whole weekend with NOTHING hatching (what will I do??) then more quail the following week and maybe some marans chicks the next weekend after that?? mmmm
