I love Brinsea, expensive, but has been worth it. I also just bought an NR360 which is really popular here. Happy with it so far, but I HATE the lid and the way it fits.

Me too - I used to have a brinsea many years ago when I was breeding parrots and involved in bird rescue - so I knew it was what I wanted again once I could afford it

We have a ninja hen that went broody on eggs a couple weeks ago.... it is her first attempt and, with any luck, we just might have slightly early christmas peepers. She's faithfully set them so far and only appears for a couple minutes to eat before she ghosts away again. It's a true gift from Mother Nature because I don't have a CLUE how many eggs she's on, or where we'll hear the peeps from if they actually hatch out.

I actually don’t know. The hens and rooster are all brown leghorn crosses, and I don’t know what they were crossed with. The eggs are from a friend She thinks they’re pure brown leghorn, but they’re obviously not

Yeah the eggs are the wrong color! My white leghorn cross lays the exact same color, kind of a peachy tan.

Locked down 22 Aloha out of 33 eggs set. Now to see how well they hatch. 1 of those eggs, looks like it it is a week behind for some odd reason, but it is still alive as of half an hour ago.

Looks like my CCL Roo was on strike as the 8 CCL eggs I set were infertile. In his defense, he had 18 ladies in that pen. He has been moved to the new breeding pen and his 3 CL ladies will be joining him tomorrow.

Does the one with the short toes have any trouble walking?

LoL right!? Another grumpy chick. I told him he’s a Christmas present, but he didn’t want to get in the box.
I was concerned the short toed chick was going to have issues getting around but she doesn’t seemed to be bothered.
