I haven't seen the NYE hatch along yet, so maybe they aren't doing it this year? Either way, I put 9 royal palm turkey eggs and about a dozen of my own duck eggs in the incubator on Sunday. I am excited! The duck eggs are the first of my own eggs I have ever tried. Anyone else set for a December hatch date?

On the 7th-9th I should have 20 quail hatching-8 button quail and 12 cotunix quail. First time hatching my own eggs! I'm so excited!

I haven't got my eggs in the incubator just yet but count me in for the December hatch a long!

This is my first hatch a long (new to quail and to this board) do we post photos and stuff?

We hatch Dec 2, or thereabouts, so I have a foot in the Nov.hatch along, but technically December birthdays for my 14 shipped BCM and 5 homegrown crosses (hoping for olive eggers)! Here's what our incubation station looks like today!

welcome!

Thanks! We candled last night and of the 14 shipped BCM eggs (we started with 16, 2 quit early) there were 2 more quitters and 1 I couldn't quite discern, so left it in. Being that I only paid for a dozen, I'm still feeling pretty good about them. Of course the critical time is coming up, when all of those slightly wonky air sacks will come into play. With our own eggs, we're 5/5, which is great because they're from both an untested rooster and hen!
