December hatch-along?

Pics
I just candled, too! Our expected hatch date is the 12th, so this was Day 14. We pulled one that looked like it was an early quitters, and the eggtopsy showed it stopped around Day 7. The other 18 (all Olandsk Dwarf) look like they are coming along, except the air cells are worryingly small - like about Day 7. We've had lots of problems in past OD hatches with chicks not making through membranes at hatch that we thought were connected to having too low humidity, so we may have overcompensated this time around. I dropped the humidity setting on this new incubator to its lowest setting, 20 percent. I don't think there's much else I can do at this point, but does anyone have any advice? ODs are notorious for drowning at hatch.
does your incubator have your eggs on their sides or up-right (fat end up) ?
just curious

I'm doing a desember/january hatch!

I just asked 3 different people if they have eggs ready to ship next week (before the mail gets swamped with christmas presents). One of them will send 20 Sussex eggs on Monday, the other two hasn't responded yet. (Faverolles and Brahma)
So I'm gonna be setting 20 - 50 eggs next week  Honestly didn't think I was gonna start THIS early with a new hatching season!

It's an order from the petting zoo I work at. I'm gonna tame the chicks, and sell the girls as soon as I can sex them. We'll have nice, tame, almost-adult hens for the children to look at next summer.

My single chick to develop hatched today :love s/he is my first broody hatched.
Wishing you all very successful hatches.
