Question: how long from pip to zip to hatch.
I woke up to one pip and that pip has not progressed. The egg rocks back and forth, but that’s it.

I have 2 pips
Question: when I woke up I discovered the 2 Pips, but the humidity was between 36% and 40%. I quickly added water. Should I be worried?

keep an eye on the humidity, it needs to be way higher than that, should be up in the 65% to avoid them being shrink-raped.

We have 4 out of 8 chicks hatched Christmas day. Its only day 20. Two hatched whilst we were at Christmas lunch and two within half hour of getting home. They are really strong and healthy tiny Easter egger x chicks.

I've had them take around 24 hours. The wait can be a killer. Mine today were really quick. Of course they hatched while we were out and not watching

None of the Marans have pipped yet but, those eggs are a bit larger.
I have 1 Cream Legbar, 1 Liege Fighter and 2 Barnevelder so far.
