Decent dog food?

If you can get it ProPac is really good. I have to admit I was a rep for them roughly 7 years ago but thats where I learned about them. Soy is what generally causes the gas. In Diamond though I am not finding soy so really it could be pure allergies. Especially since his coat has never been good. He could have been having issues for a long time. Corn is a big one as far as allergies. I am told there are corn by products in fabreeze and some dogs even flare up from that. For some dogs its fine. For others is causes major issues. There are a ton of top expensive dog foods and super cheap ones whose main ingredients are soy and corn. There is one expensive brand in particular that has ground peanut shells as a filler in their diet kibble since it has no calories neither does it have nutritional content.

This is a list of ingredients for pro pacs mini chunk which is what I use. You will notice no soy but it does have corn. Diamond is very similar to this.

Chicken Meal, Ground Yellow Corn, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Rice Flour, Dried Beet Pulp, Natural Flavoring, Flaxseed, Yeast Culture, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, DL-Methionine Hydroxy Analogue, L-Lysine, Vitamin E Supplement, D-Activated Animal Sterol (source of Vitamin D3), Vitamin A Acetate, Niacin, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Ascorbic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Manganous Oxide, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Calcium Iodate, Zinc Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Magnesium Proteinate, Copper Proteinate.

If your dogs have itchy skin or tummy issues you want a lamb and rice formula. No Corn, No soy Diamond has a lamb and rice formula also.

Lamb Meal, Brewers Rice, Rice Flour, Rice Gluten Meal, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Flaxseed, Yeast Culture, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Choline Chloride, L-Lysine, DL-Methionine Hydroxy Analogue, Vitamin E Supplement, D-Activated Animal Sterol (source of Vitamin D3), Vitamin A Acetate, Niacin, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Ascorbic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Manganous Oxide, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Calcium Iodate, Zinc Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Magnesium Proteinate, Copper Proteinate.

You might also put a bit of olive oil in their food. not a ton but I always added a little bit. We had some who always had dry itchy and the oil seemed to help with that.

Another Vote for Taste of the Wild, It has been a godsend for my dogs with similar problems. It is $47 for 35 lbs here. But You WILL feed less of it. I went from feeding, no kidding Nutro 10 cups to TOTW 4 cups. No more misc. vet bills for vomiting, allergies, ect. is enouth to cover the extra $$$
