Hello everyone, I've just jumped into the world of hatching my own chicks! I have a couple little giant incubators which I used to incubate snake eggs for a few years, chicks are going to be a little bit different but atleast I'm quite familier with the incubator. I'll be putting eggs in either tomorrow or the day after. I have a dark cornish and a barred rock rooster amongst barred rocks, reds, and ee hens. I will be turning them by hand, is it better to do it twice a day or 3 times?

It is usually better to turn them an odd number of times daily. So three times a day is great. :)

Why? Because when you turn them 3 times daily, the side they are on the longest (Nightime)

Changes daily.

Congrats on incubating, and have fun!
