Deciding whether or not to have a rooster

My roo is an EE but i think he has a lot of light Brahma in him. So far (he's 18 weeks) he is not aggressive, has only crowed 2 times and he runs from the bigger hens and the broom. I hope I can keep him!

The nicest roosters I've ever had are Partridge Cochins. I used to show them for 4-H. Big, beautiful birds with feathered feet and a calm temperament that is almost lazy. Years ago I had one named Gary that would follow me around the garden (very slowly) and wait for me to turn over rocks so he could eat the bugs.

I like bigger roosters -- they are too big to do an airborne attack. Feathered feet are a plus: padding!
