Decomposed granite

Hello! Our run is 10'x17' and it will be place upon loose decomposed granite.

Should I also put down a few bails of Eco Flake on top of the decomposed granite?

If so, how many inches thick of flake?

What's your run floor made of?

We live in Southern California, so weather isn't an issue.

Hi, did you ever get advice on this? I am building my coop and run on top of loose DG also, and was wondering if that is a problem. I am planning to use sand in the coop.

Hmm, well I did a search for decomposed granite on the site and found a few threads that mentioned it and no one said it was harmful.. so I'm going to try it in the run. We accidentally got twice the amount we needed for our garden paths, so it was the perfect amount to put in the run.
