Decreased appetite during molt?

Hello,

One of our 3 hens is going through her first adult molt. I've noticed that her appetite seems to have decreased a lot. She's still on layer feed but I might switch to grower once we finish up what's left. Wondering if she'll consume more if we increase the protein percentage by using grower. Any thoughts?

Feed intake does decrease initially during the molt. A higher protein ration will help her grow her feathers in quicker. Sometimes they eat less when the protein goes up, so she may or may not eat more, but I still would make the switch.
