Deep litter ending up outside coop

How big is your coop? What x what? How many chickens do you keep in it?

I have 11 hens in a 8x4 coop, with three nest boxes and three perches, but only two perches are in the portion enclosed on three sides.
Pics are from when they were much smaller, obviously. :)

I had the same problem with my coop doors - litter everywhere every time I opened the doors. I ended up putting a board across the bottom of one of the doors to fix it. The doors open all the way and sit flat against the coop, so the board doesn't get in the way when I'm cleaning. I put the board on the door, rather than building a barrier in the coop, because I wanted to be able to sweep the litter right off the floor of the coop and into the wheelbarrow (didn't want to have to scoop or shovel litter out).

Worked like a charm. No more litter falling out of the coop - and my uncoordinated brain even got the hang of remembering to close the LEFT door before the RIGHT one...lol!
