Deep litter method in our climate?

Hi there. I just got my first chicks and after some research, I'm interested in the deep litter method. It does say humid climates can have issues.
What's been y'all's experience?

The deep little method does generate quite a bit of heat in the coop, so I would not recommend it. What temperature do you have?

Oh, sorry I thought I was posting in the Washington state section. So we're rain 8 months of the year, mild climate but can get below freezing in winter.

For the winter, the deep litter method sounds fine. I’m not sure about the rain.
