I keep reading about DLM and is not 100% sure of the exact technique. Could anyone give me an example or a list of what the DLM is and how it's used in the coop? I would be using shavings.

From what I've read the answer is not really,as it needs to be on bare soil to actually compost. But it still works to keep everything dry and non-smelly provided you turn it, then you just take it out once or twice a year and let it compost in a pile somewhere else.One more question! I have a concrete floor. Will the DLM compost and decompose without a dirt floor?
